Removal of Varicose VeinsVaricose veins are removed by means of microsurgery, minimally invasive to the skin using local anesthetics. Using this new technology, we are able to surgically remove varicose veins in all stages of progression, including those accompanied by clotting and venous ulcers. This technology, unlike methods currently used in other centers such as the traditional method of Babcock dating from 1907 ( ! ), cryosurgery, or even recently popular but ineffective laser treatments, is precise, exact, delicate and guarantees excellent cosmetic effects. This treatment does not require stitches; light dressing allows for independent walking immediately after treatment. In the first week following surgery, the patient is able to undertake normal work activities. It is important to note that traditional surgery of varicose veins involves brutal, inexact removal of surface veins. Pain, bruising, nerve damage (40%) and scarring generally accompany traditional surgery. Our mini-phlebectomy technology does not subject the patient to post-operative pain, as is common in cryosurgery which involves the freezing of varicose veins with liquid nitrogen. Using mini-phlebectomy technology, we are able to remove varicose veins on the legs or in other areas such as the feet, hands, body and even on the vulvar labia, which would not be possible with traditional surgical methods.
Ulcers – venous woundsA major achievement of the clinic is effective treatment of ulcers of the legs and feet, even those which have been considered incurable. Using new techniques and means, it is possible to cure 80% of supposedly incurable ulcers in patients who would otherwise be frequently hospitalized and unsuccessfully treated by conventional practices.
Crooked toes – "hallux valgus" and other foot deformitiesIn treating these problems, Dr. Kompf has introduced methods not previously used in Poland. The main novelty is the elimination of the traditional plaster cast used to immobilize the affected area after treatment. This cast is usually a burden on the patient and may result in short and/or long-term complications. Thanks to this new surgical technique, scarring is eliminated while performing surgery under local anesthetic! Yes, without pain! After treatment, the patient is able to walk home.
Spider and minimal varicose veinsThe time-tested standard of obliteration therapy, recommended by the majority of societies of phlebology in Western Europe, is the most effective method to eliminate spider and minimal varicose veins. After a period of fascination with laser technology, laser therapy has been discounted as an expensive method that is ineffective and accompanied by numerous complications.
