Neglected chronic venous ulceration (6 years)

Patient – age 45.
Photo on the left – chronic venous ulceration, unhealed over 6 years, resulting from chronic post phlebitis syndrome.
Photo on the right – result 5 weeks after treatment that involved removal of non-functioning perforating veins and varicose veins by miniphlebectomy. Any treatment by traditional methods could have resulted in infection and numerous complications.
